how so you set the timing on the camshaft

Set piston #1 at TDC (top dead center)
Align pickup rotor "T" mark with the crankcase mating surface.(rear)
Align intake cam gear with the rear of cylinder head surface edge.
Align exhaust cam gear with the front of cylinder head surface edge.
