Motorcycle Repair: HONDA steed 400vlx 2001, honda steed, battery connections

Question
Hi, My honda steed it has some problem which was sudden and overnight I rode the bike and parked it next morning it just wouldnt start, where i live there r no mechanics and I love my bike but dont knw much abt it.
the battery is fine
The lights n all are fine.
I dont see any sparks out of the cable connected to the plugs,
first it gave out a normal sound while starting but now it sounds like coin in a bottle i really want to get it started pls advice

Hi Derrik,

Sounds like you may have a ground problem, I would check your fuses 1st, battery connections, coil wires, and so on...
One other thing you may want to try is making sure the on/off switch is in the RUN position, also check to make sure the side stand is up, sometimes, these things will all cause the ignition to NOT spark..
