Motorcycle Repair: 1988 Sportster wont start, starter solenoid, hi tommy

For a while my bike was starting sporadically and now it doesn't start at all.  I used to hear click, click, click, but nothing now.  The battery is good.  A friend told me to check to solenoid wire.  How do I do that?  Other suggestions?  Thank you.

Hi Tommy,

Its in your best interst to just buy a new starter solenoid form a dealership, and then replace it, you'll have to remove the starter to do so, but just make sure the battery is disconnected before you begin replacement, this SHOULD cure your issue.. Thats what all your info tells me...Very common..
