Motorcycle Repair: Throttle, honda cm250, throttle cables
QuestionI just spun the handlebars on my honda cm250 so it's got a cafe racer look. But the throttle is really stiff now. Where can I adjust that? Is it a wire problem?
AnswerHi Josiah,
I'm sure the CM looks cool with the bars re-positioned. I suspect the throttle cables are too long now and may also be binding.
Try routing the cables in a different way to take some of the slack out. Consider finding shorter cables or a different throttle assembly.
Custom cables are available, but I cannot remember the compay names. Try on-line search if interested.
