Motorcycle Repair: 1970 honda QA 50 No Spark, honda qa 50, honda qa50

I have an old Honda QA50 that I am going to begin to restore.  Among other problems, it does not have any spark.  What process should I use to pin down what the lack of spark is caused by?

I think it has a flywheel magneto type ignition
under the left engine cover. That means you
try a new spark plug, then if there is no spark
check the kill button for faults, then
move on to the plug cap, but most likely
you will have to clean, set or replace the
points under the flywheel.
You may need a Honda flywheel puller.
