QuestionQUESTION: When I bought the bike in Jan., I had some concerns. A new one I checked out had nice solid brakes, but this one felt mushy, and late to really grab. I had stainless lines installed. They helped, but the excessive lever travel remains. I am thinking a small bubble in the master-cylinder, but I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

QUESTION: For what difference it makes?? Brakes are brakes,no? 650 V-Strom 04
AnswerChange the brake fluid first and bleed the system. the brake fluid might gottem old or you have air in the lines. On the barke caliber there is a bleeder valve. Pump the brakes up and holding the brake lever crack the bleeder. Brake fluid will come out. Keep doing this until you get new fluid out.
SInce I only work on Harleys you will have to check with the manufacture on what fluid to use.
Good luck and happy riding
