Motorcycle Repair: 2005 Honda CRF70 clicking noise, honda crf70, bikebandit com

 My son'e CRF70 lost a bolt on the bottom left side of his bike and dumped the oil.  I was told this is the bolt that holds the cam chain tensioning spring in place.  I replaced the spring and bolt and put oil back in the engine but it still makes a clicking noise.  What is causing this and is the bike in danger?  I guess most importantly how can I fix i?  Thanks.

Hi Douglas,

I can't accurately diagnose what the problem is without inspecting the engine.

I recommend that you get a copy of the service manual and perform a tear-down inspection. That's the only way to know what needs repaired or replaced.
