QuestionI'm in need of the complete hose routing on the 250 carburetor. I'm building or rebuilding a bike from scratch and it is becoming pretty frustrating. Can you help?
AnswerRandall, yes and no... If your bike has all the emission control stuff on it, you can at least see the components on sites like http://www.powersportspro.com/partsfish/login.asp sign up and log in, choose Honda motorcycles and then your model to see the illustrations of the bike in exploded views. www.bikebandit.com has similar searching services.
On some models, there is a hose diagram on the air box of the air cleaner assembly. After 22 years, yours may have been taken off or fallen off, though.
The only hose of major concern is the fuel line to the carburetor. Everything else is related to emission controls or venting the carburetor. You can delete all the canister and other hoses, if you want to simplify the bike's systems.
The only places to see the factory configuration are in the shop manuals, maybe in owner's manual and in any loose sets of setup manual pages at dealerships or on Ebay.
