Motorcycle Repair: swingarm bolt kawasaki kfx 400, kawasaki kfx 400, kawasaki kfx400
Questionhey i have a 2003 Kawasaki kfx400 fourwheeler and im having a problem removing the swingarm bolt to remove the motor. The swingarm bolt is a little bent but it will come out about 3 or 4 inches real easy and spins easy with a pair pliers, but when it gets to that point it just completely stops like its hitting a concrete wall or something...like i said it'll spin real easy but wont come out any farther...it'll go back in easy and back out to the point were it was before but no further. Could u please help me out with the situation. THANKS!
AnswerHi Jack,
Drive the axle through with a rod of softer material such as brass or aluminum.
Once the axle is removed, check for defects via V-block and dial indicator (or simply replace it).
