Motorcycle Repair: V-Max V-Boost, vmaxtech, vboost
QuestionI own a '91 V-Max that I've had for over ll years now. For the past several months I've had a problem with a quick carbon buildup on my plugs & my gas mileage is almost cut in half. I've been running a Dyno-Jet "Stage one" for these 11 years. The needle valves are in good shape & there is no overflow due to faulty float valves or gas leeks of any kind. There is however a strong fuel smell coming from the exhaust, but not wet on exit. Otherwise, the bike is tuned to perfecton & runs good till the plugs quickly foul out. Could the problem be in the V-Boost?
AnswerHi Charles,
Either the VBoost or carburetors need inspection. Visit the links below for related web resouirces.
