Motorcycle Repair: 1987 Honda VT1100, mobil 1, synthetic oil

Question
I went with Mobil 1 v-twin synthetic oil with my last oil change.  it's now overheating.  is it too thick and what oil do you recommend?

i have a suzuki 1400 all i ever run in it is castrol 20/50 its a 1991 never had problems . if you need more info im here.p.s please leave feedback for me and you may also nominate if you feel inclined to do so.
