i have a 88 kx 80 and was riding it and racing a freind, not getting on it to hard but was riding the power band. was in 6th gear rpms not to high and it cut out and i cant get it to start now. has compression, spark, and is getting gas (cleaned carb) any ideas?
Answer -
Is it trying to fire? If so, tell me EXACTLY what happens. I need ya 2 b as specific as possible! Good luck and let me know!
well when i checked the spark the gas vapors that came out the spark plug hole ignited but it dont seem to be trying to start at all
-----Answer-----
So there was raw gas in the cylinder? That would mean it's not firing hot enough. I would say u should try to change the plug and let me know what happens! Good luck.

How longs have u had the bike, and have u ever put in new rings?
AnswerOk. If the bike is ridden only seasonally it is recommended u replace the rings each year as a 2 stroke burns them up rather quickly. How did u clean the carb by the way? Y did the vapors from the plug hole ignite, Were u testing the plug that close to the hole? If so, it still doesn't mean it has "good" spark. Change the rings, tell me bout the carb and install a new plug. Do the plug first to see if it will fire. Good luck and let me know!
