Hi, I has a 4 stroke 110cc dirt bike. I played around with the idle and now I'm in trouble. The bike will only idle with the clutch on. When I take the clutch off, it dies out. I am no pro with bikes. I may even be naming the part that I screwed with around with wrong. It's was a small screw with spring (Flat Head Screwdriver) next to the clutch that I turned clockwise and counter clockwise. When I turn this screw the bike revs up. If I turn it the other way, the bike dies out. What do I do to get the bike back to normal where it will idle with the clutch off?

I don't understand what the clutch and the carb have 2 do with each other. Will the bike idle in neutral? If so then u r fine. Does this bike require u to pull in a clutch to shift? If so then when u let out on the clutch it is engaging the bike 2 go. Therefor u need 2 give it gas 2.
AnswerOk, was the spring on the screw visible or did u find the spring when u took out the screw. In any matter u need to set it back to where the bike will idle on it's own, wait 5 mins, then adjust again. All adjustments should be small or short turns and in 3-5 minute intervals as the vaccum has to catch up and level off. Twisting in large turns and very quickly will only get u 2 extremes as u've already found out.
