Motorcycle Repair: 19843 fj1100 oil, yamaha service, sight glass

I have a yamaha service manual for 84 fj1100 It says in one spot 3.5 us qts and in another it says 4.4 us qts which is correct ?

Hi John,

Due to the varying information, I recommend using the oil level sight glass on the side of the crackcase cover.
