Motorcycle Repair: XR100R, honda xr100, compression check

Hi I have a 1986 honda xr100 and i put new rings in it and when its at high revs it starts missing and slowing down. i put a fuel filter in the fuel line do u think it might not be getting enough fuel through.

First of all u need 2 do a compression check to make sure there's enough of that.  Next off, when it starts missing, popping, etc. then it's a lean condition if it's a fuel/air issue.  I don't think it is in your case, but u never know!  Good luck and let me know!
