Motorcycle Repair: continuity check on plug wires, coil windings, continuity check

Question
Are you suppose to get continuity when you go from the coil cap to the plug cap. It seems there is a small filament that won't get continuity through it. Does it have to have so much electricity before it goes through.

Coil windings should be tested with the spark plug cap(s) removed.

Some spark plug caps have a resistor built inside. Refer to the model specific service manual for testing details.
