Motorcycle Repair: 1974 HANDA OIL AMOUNT, handa, dipstick

HI,
I HAVE A 1974 HANDA XL 175, TAHT I WANT TO CHANGE THE OIL IN. I WAS WONDERING HOW MUCH OIL I SHOULD PUT IN?

Dave,

I could not find the answer to this, even in some very old service manuals from a dealer.

But - that won't stop us, hopefully you haven't drained the oil yet, one easy method i've used in the past is to stand the bike up straight, cut a strip of cardboard and make a dipstick - dip it in, measure the height, change the oil (and filter too while you are at it), now transfer the measurement to a new piece - refill, warmup,remeasure - repeat refill/remeasure as necessary.
