Motorcycle Repair: valve replacement, exhaust ports, combustion chamber

Question
honda z50a minitrail has slightly bent valves.
flashlight shined through intake and exhaust ports
leak light through valve faces.
    can i install new valves in this particular head? can i just lap the valves or do the seats
need to be cut?

Hi Gary,

Try performing a cylinder compression test and a leak-down test to determine the condition of the engine (sealing properties of the combustion chamber).

Repair or replace the valves and valve seats accordingly.
