Motorcycle Repair: Suzuki Bandit 1200 front forks, suzuki bandit 1200, last bandit

Hi, I have a 2000 Bandit 1200, and I am 5'6". With my last Bandit, what I did was use aftermarket lowering links for the rear and a nice low profile solo seat to get my feet closer to the ground. I plan to do the same with this bike also, but I have heard that I can slide the forks up through the tree clamps about 3/4" to lower the front, can I do this? Thanks, Bill

Yes, u can.  I'm not sure of the exact measurements on how far but all that's important is that the front tire has enough clearance to work properly with the suspension.  U don't want the tire to hit the bike while in motion, as u can imagine, it will probably hurt real bad if that were to occur.
