Motorcycle Repair: 1983 Yamaha DT100K carb trouble, petcock, petcocks

I asked you earlier about my bike's carb, and you replied with a question pertaining to whether or not my petcock was vacuum operated. Well, it isn't. I would've gotten back to you sooner, but you were "maxed out." Thanks for the help.

I'm so sorry 2 have to do this, but I answer a lot of questions and have forgotten your original question.  If the petcock isn't vaccum, then does it function properly in the off position?  U can test with an air hose, but if the air goes in and comes out in the petcocks "off" position then your petcock needs replaced.
