Motorcycle Repair: cam chains in honda v65, honda v65, camshaft timing

the bike in question is for sale in graeat shape except a couple shops say the cam chains  need to be replace . Is there a easy way to roll in a new chain with out taking the complete motor apart . If the engine does need to be torn down then the is to exsive to purchase .  The bike has regular oil changes great care . Is there a way to or is there a chain tensioer in there they don't know about .   thank you for your time  Morley.
