Motorcycle Repair: location of timing chain adjustment, cam chain, chain tensioner

I own a CM400E, 1981, I would like to know where the timing chain adjustment is if there is one? Thank You for your time, Larry

Hi Larry.

The cam chain tensioner adjustment is normally at the middle of the cylinder head either in the front or in the back, beneath where the carbs are.

Refer to your repair manual (you do have one, right?) for the specifics regarding the actual adjustment.
