Motorcycle Repair: Honda Police Tryke, clean fuel tank, check tires

I have inherited a 1982 CX500C Honda Chicago Police Tryke that doesnt run.  I have no info on where to start.  Can you give me some thoughts on where to begin, like where to get a manual so that I might restore it to at least running order.

Tom, go to bikebandit.com. they have most everything and is where i get stuff when in a pinch. heres a list that i use when getting a bike like this

1. clean fuel tank check for rust if tank is real bad look for a replacment or have it lined

2 carbs cleaned

3. whole service on bike, check tires, chains and or drive shaft, all fluids , brake linings.

4 install fuel filter between tank and motor

fresh fuel and start it up !!!  happy riding
