Motorcycle Repair: carb adjustment, fuel mixture, screws

i have a 89 springer with a s&s shorty e, i messed with the idle and fuel mixture screws, and now its really missing, how do i set correctly

Answer
Start the bike and let it warm up. Slowly turn the screw inward, just until it starts to stumble. Then turn it outward, counting the turns, until it starts to stumble. Divide that number in half and turn it out that far.
