Motorcycle Repair: ignition fuse blowing, honda goldwing 1200, amp fuse

1984 Honda Goldwing 1200 blowing 10 amp ignition fuse, The bikes battery was low would not turn over so I decided to jump with lawn tractor battery after 3 unsucessful tries @ 5 sec intervals she stopped tring replaced ign fuse will try then blow fuse put 15 amp fuse will turn, run for 3 sec then blow fuse. Thanks

Hi Alan,

You or someone else will have to inspect the circuits and search for the short. If I had more information, I may be able to provide more intel.

Be careful with the amperage ratings of fuse protection. Even a 5 amp rating difference may cause damages and may be expensive replacing circuit components.
