Motorcycle Repair: Turn signal blinks slow, left turn signal, fxrs sp

Hello Mr. Wells, I have a 1987 FXRS-SP. My left turn signal blinks very slowly but
the right blinks just fine.  I changed the stock handlebars and risers out and
moved the front turn signals to the forks. Also, the fuel gauge works part-time.
These two problems have me pulling my hair out, any information would be
greatly appreciated sir.

Make sure you have a good ground for the turn signal. Run a jumper wire from the battery to the post on the switch and see if it blinks faster. If it does then you probably have a power problem or a bad switch.
On the fuel gage, make sure you have a good power supply and good ground. If they are good then you probaby have a bad sending unit.
