QuestionI have a 1982 Honda Magna V45, which the speedometer went bad on. The speedometer read to 85mph and I want to replace it with one from a 1983 Magna V45 which reads to 150mph. My questions are. First can this be done? (The 85mph vs 150mph is the only difference correct?) And secondly, do I have to replace the drive gear on the wheel to make it read accurately?
Thanks!
Matt
AnswerHi Matt,
Q: "...First can this be done? (The 85mph vs 150mph is the only difference correct?)"
A: I've never made this swap. It may be possible.
Q: "...And secondly, do I have to replace the drive gear on the wheel to make it read accurately?"
A: Not if the wheels are the same size.
