Motorcycle Repair: fuel/oil ratio 89 Honda CR125R, 4 stroke engines, fuel oil

Hi Chris,
I just purchased an '89 CR125R. I'm new to dirtbikes and I don't know what the fuel/oil ratio is supposed to be. Have read 32:1 and 40:1, what do you recommend? Plan to use this bike for trail riding only. My next purchase will be a manual!

Hi Brian.

Most 2-strokes that I have ever seen use a 50:1 fuel:oil mix.  You will want to get yourself the owner's manual and/or the repair manual to be certain, though, since over 90% of my experience is with 4-stroke engines.
