Motorcycle Repair: charging problem, regulator rectifier, honda cbr
QuestionHello Mark Im having problems with my 96 Honda cbr 600f3. I was riding one day and the bike shut off on me. I noticed that all the lights were dim i managed to push start it and barely made it home. Then i noticed that when i start the bike and hold it at about 2000 rpms it charges for about 30 seconds. If i rev it any higher then that it stops charging right away could this be a stator problem? i am currently bidding on a stator on ebay would like to know if this is the problem thnks

AnswerHi Brandon,
10-4, the charging system needs checked to locate the source of the problem.
Visit Electro Sport and follow their "Fault Finding Chart"
www.electrosport.com
You'll be testing altenator output and the regulator/rectifier for proper operation.
I'll send a few tech files to your email addy.
