Motorcycle Repair: Move shift lever, sharpie permanent marker, mx boot

Question
Can I adjust the shift lever on my Suszuki LTZ250 Quad up to give me more room to place my MX boot under it without screwing up something? And is this adjustment as easy as loosining the bolt and adjusting the lever on knotch highter?

Hi Dan,

You can move the lever as mentioned.

Use a Sharpie permanent marker (or other means) and mark the end of the shift shaft and the side of the lever. The marks should appear like this ---> :

These reference marks may be helpful if relocation is necessary.
