i hope you can help her.my bike is not    vintage      but a 2002 shodow spirit 750 imtrying to remove battery i disonected terminals as directed inowners manual but battery willnot lift out are there any bolts or scrwes holding the battery in? tks in advance jp cavanagh

jp, that model has a fairly buried battery, that's for sure. There is a plastic top battery retainer cover with a bolt at the forward edge that should be removed in order for the battery to slide out of there.
