Motorcycle Repair: IGINITION FIRING ORDER, yamaha vmax, xt 650

Sir:
I have a 1995 Yamaha Vmax and want to install a 3 3/8" tachometer. Can you tell me the firing order in relation to the crankshaft? I have been told that I need a 2 cylinder single pulse tach or could use a pulse divider. I assume this would be a 4 cylinder 1/2 pulse setup. Also can you suggest a tach brand to purchase?

Hi Terry,

I cannot remember the firing order on the V-Max. I have no experience with installing these tachs.
