Motorcycle Repair: Suzuki GN 125-lack of power, suzuki gn 125, suzuki gn125

I have a 2 year old Suzuki GN125 which I have had from new.  I am having problems with its power output-the engine sounds 100% ok while idling and as the bike is moving but I cannot get it to go any faster than 35mph (downhill!) this is a relatively new problem as it has been very reliable until now.  I have no knowledge of mc repairs but I have cleaned its airfilter and this made no difference.

I would very much appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Hi Siobhan,

I suspect a problem with the carburetor not working properly. However, I cannot say for sure without more intel or being there to perform diagnosis.

Get a copy of the service manual. It has illustrated procedures for maintenance, tuning, and repairing your GN125. The manual will pay for itself with the first service you perform.
