Motorcycle Repair: Suzuki 01 VL800, time bird, shively

i have a vl800 with 10k miles and the water pump is weeping. i have never changed the coolant and dont ride the bike hard.i change oil when needed. is this a common prob with this bike? seems a little to soon for the pump to be weeping oil, dont you think?

A:  It's not common for this model.


Q:  seems a little to soon for the pump to be weeping oil, dont you think?

A:  I agree, however parts may fail anytime for a variety of reasons. We expect parts to last a reasonable length of time before replacement is necessary.
