Motorcycle Repair: 83 virago 920, yamaha virago 920, electrical diagnosis

I have a 83 Yamaha Virago 920. The starter has been skipping and grinding for some time. recently it started miss firing and lost almost all power. I replaced the sparkplug wires and plugs(the rear wire was arcking to my leg),it did not help. Could the starter problem cause the missfiring?

Hi Bart,

I doubt the starter is related, different circuits.

There is a fix for the starter problem. I'll send the info to your email.

You'll have to perform electrical diagnosis to find the cause of the electrical problem.
