Motorcycle Repair: Yamaha BWs Scooter starting problem, yamaha bw, proper performance

Question
When I kickstart the scooter it will turn over,  run for a minute then die. What could be the problem? 2003 Yamaha BW's scooter, 49cc

Hi Philippe,

I suspect fuel in carburetor has varnished or some other fuel obstruction exists. If so, the carburetor will need to be thoroughly cleaned to restore proper performance.

Otherwise, I would need to perform a few checks to accurately diagnose the problem.
