Motorcycle Repair: clutch, bead blast, fxe

Question
When I let out on my clutch it's hesitates for just a second then it grabs.It also makes a slipping or spinning like noise when this happens. I thought it was the carbon fiber disc that I had installed a few years back but I had them changed back to orignal type and it's still doing it. The bike is a 1980 FXE Lowrider that I bought new and has had no other repairs. Thanks for any suggestions you might have,Mike. Bob

Take your clutches out and inspect them. THey might be oil soaked and that is with usually makes them do that. You can ruff them up with course sandpaper or bead blast them lightly. Make sure your pressure plate is adjusted correctly as well as the cable.
