Motorcycle Repair: Speedometer, speed sensor, shively

just recently i was riding and the speedometer bounces reverse whenever i throttle the bike when in motion.another words whenever i give it gas the speedometer goes back 10 or 15 mph. Lets say i am going 40 mph then i het the throttle it will temp show 20 or 15 any idea what could cause this?

Hi Rob,

The problem could be a broken cable, rusted cable, or other defect with related parts. If it's a digital speedo, it may be the CDI, speed sensor, or other related component.
