Motorcycle Repair: yahama gas tank, new tank, gas tank

last night the bike fell leaving a fist size dent in the gas tank right by the v star emblem.  can this type of dent be fixed or does the gas tank need to be replaced.

A body shop could likely repair the dent and refinish the tank.

You'll have to compare the cost of a new tank vs. the cost of having a body shop restore the existing tank.
