Motorcycle Repair: oil leaking on new engine...., oil leakage, screaming eagle

i have just purchased a bike from a dealer in florida. he states to me that i should expect some oil leakage for the fist 1500 miles until the seal sit correctly during the break in time.  is that correct?    the engine is a 2005 screaming eagle 103ci  Not FI

This is somthing I have never heard of in all my years of working on harleys. Seals dont need to seat. The part that runs against the metal that it is sealing is a type of rubber. If it leaks then the seal needs replaced by the dealer, noo questions asked.
