Motorcycle Repair: VTX 600 Honda, throttle cables, bikebandit com

I recently bought a project bike, VTX 600 Honda.  It didn't have the throttle cables.  I purchase new cables, but I have never installed dual push pull throttle cables.  Could you possible explain how these work and how to install?  I'm retired, and don't have the money to take to a shop, unless I absolutely have to.  I would appreciate any information you could provide.

The task of routing and connecting throttle cables is easy, but not so easy to explain.   

Instead, I recommend you obtain a service/repair manual to learn proper cable routing and installation procedures.

The manual has illustrated procedures and much more. Order manuals and see microfiche parts at "www.bikebandit.com" If money is a concern, check your local library for the manual.
