Motorcycle Repair: engine change, intruder 1400, painful pleasure

i have a 96 vs800 intruder.  could i replace the engine with an intruder 1400 engine, and if so, how much of a problem would it be.

Hi Bill,

I've never made that engine swap, nor have I heard the successes of anyone that has. It may be possible with some fabrications and modifcations.

Try and measure engine mount fastener patterns between the two MC's.

It's a painful pleasure swapping engines. Sometimes it can be frustrating.
