My 92 goldwing SE will not start if I hold the clutch in. However, it starts fine if I shift it into nuetral. I checked the clutch switch - no power from either wire. Relay seems fine too. Is their a separate relay for this circuit? Wires all look fine too. Any idea what the problem is?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Hi dan,
Do you have the Service/Repair Manual for your GL? If so, which brand of manual? What is the ISBN # of the manual? See first page or two inside front cover for ISBN.
I can help with the diagnosis, but need to know the above.
To save time, please add a email address as requested. I may need to return tech files to you.

Sorry, I don't have a service manual, yet. Any recommendations as to which one I should get? My email address is

AnswerOrder manuals from www.bikebandit.com, www.clymer.com, www.amazon.com, ebay, and check your local library. My local library has MC manuals and they don't mind if the books get oily/greasy.
Get a manual and we'll go from there. It will pay for itself with the first repair/maintenance you perform.
