Motorcycle Repair: suzuki 1200 bandit, suzuki 1200 bandit, cold temp
Questionmike, my name is brian rittenhouse. i just bought a 2001 suzuki 1200 air/oil cooled bike.it has a yoshi pipe and is supposed to be jetted.i took it out today for my first time.it was about 30 deg. outside.the bike ran great but when i hit the throttle it hesitated then took off.could this be from the cold temp. not letting the motor get up to temp. any info would be helpful.
thanks, brian
AnswerI usually only answer questions on Harleys, but I might be able to help. When the temp is as low as you said, it takes quit a while for a bike to warm up. Sounds like it wasnt warm enough and that would cause the problem you were having. Try going for a lot longer ride and see if you still have the same problem.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
