Motorcycle Repair: charging system, yamaha 1100 virago, charging system

I have a 1989 Yamaha 1100 Virago. It is not charging. Besides the staters, what should I look for?

Sorry for the delay...down with the Flu.

Perform an output test to check charging system. I recommend the service manual to help you diadgnose and repair the problem. The manual has testing procedures and more.
