Motorcycle Repair: jets, cobra jet, needle jet

im putting a cobra jet kit in my 2002 v star ive put the new neddles in but i cant figure out how the new jet goes in. does the carb have to be open on both sides...

Hi William,

I think you're referring to the needle jet (main nozzle). If so, remove the float bowls, remove main jet, emusion tube, and needle jet. Install new parts accordingly.
