Motorcycle Repair: 03 dxdwg oil puking, torque specs, cam timing

to align oil pump,i have ordered tools from jireh. do outer sprockets have to come off, and if so, are they notched on their shafts so i dont have to set cam timing position? excuse my stupidity. thanks

Remember, no question is a stupid question. It is all a learning process!
Yes the outer sprockets have to come off as well as the cam plate. The cams will already be set.
I would suggest, since it sounds like you are going to work on your own bike, that you get a service manual. It had step by step instructions and well as great pictures. It also gives you all the torque specs.
