Motorcycle Repair: suzuki rf600r engine replacement, suzuki rf600r, suzuki bikes

I own a 1994 rf600r which recently committed engine suicide on me.  However I have been offered an engine from a bandit 600 to replace it.  My question is, can this replacement be carried out?

Hi Michael,

I believe the engine cases are same between RF, GSX-F, and GSX-R's. Should be a drop in swap. It should be known that I haven't performed this specific task. I would appreciate hearing how the swap turned out.
