Motorcycle Repair: overheating, allexperts, coolant
QuestionA friend of mine has a Ninja 1000(not sure what year).It overheats,stalls out and dies when stopped at a traffic light.Changed tranny awhile ago.Any thoughts?

From the limited information provided, I suspect air remains in the cooling system and is lowering the boiling temperature of coolant. It's possible that a sensor or thermostat is defective, too, though would need to be verified.
When coolant was replaced, was a tool used to purge air from the cooling system?
