Motorcycle Repair: transmission, honda vtx 1800, rainstorm

      I just bought a Honda VTX 1800, I got caught in the rain, Now my transmission will not go into any gear. How could water prevent the transmission to operate.

Hi Xavier.
 It is impossible for a rainstorm to prevent the transmission from operating.  Most likely, you had something in the transmission fail at that time.  It's just a coincidence; nothing more.

 Could be that one of your shifter forks broke, but without knowing more about the problem, I really couldn't say for certain.
